Glow In The Dark

Jason Gray

Sometimes the world feels like a mess
Full of drama, full of stress
And life puts a fist right in your ribs
You can hide if you choose to
And no one would even blame you
Or you can let them see how you deal with it

That even in the darkest place
His love can make you radiate

(chorus)
Doesn’t matter how deep, how dark the night is
Keep hoping, keep on shining
And they’ll see His light burning in your heart
And if the road gets rough, just keep your head up
Let the world see what you’re made of
That His love’s alive in your deepest parts
Like a flame, like a burning star you can shine right where you are
He made you to glow in the dark

Don’t be ashamed of your past
If you’re shattered like a piece of glass
The more broke you are the more the light gets through
Show your wounds and your flaws
Show them why you still need the cross
Let them see the work He’s doing in you

That even in the darkest place
His love can make you radiate

(chorus)
Doesn’t matter how deep, how dark the night is
Keep hoping, keep on shining
And they’ll see His light burning in your heart
And if the road gets rough, just keep your head up
Let the world see what you’re made of
That His love’s alive in your deepest parts
Like a flame, like a burning star you can shine right where you are
He made you to glow in the dark

Glow in the dark
Doesn’t matter how
Glow in the dark
Doesn’t matter how

  • Kelly Lee says:

On January 8th my 12 year old son committed suicide. Our family, church, and community were shocked and really did not see it coming. It has transformed me and my family and the changes are apparent to others watching us. I found myself feeling almost angry with people repeatedly telling me how ” strong” I was when I had never felt more broken and devastated in my life. I first heard the song Glow In The Dark last Sunday night driving to pick up my daughter from youth church and was pierced by the verse that says ” the more broke you are the more the light gets through”. This has totally been my experience with my son’s death. It was so simple yet so profound. It was as if God, himself, sang it to me from the radio that night.

  • Stacy Sizemore says:

This song totally represents my nephew who is incarcerated. While he was in county jail. He excepted the lord started attending church. He made statement me coming back into his life at one of the darkest times, Since then we have built a unbreakable bond, We both remind each other that god has his hand in every thing that is going on, Hey we may not agree with it right away but we will. I am sending him a copy of this song so when he is having a rough day he can read it. We are unable to talk or see each other for at least 90 days which is rough on both of us since he is like my own.
