Our message today was how we don’t need to listen to the world to tell us who we are. All my life I’ve listened to who my father said I was, and then my ex-husband I was told I would never amount to much, that I was stupid. And then after nine surgeries for a very rare cancer my husband told me how ugly my scars looked. He maid some other hurtful comments also. After the message was finished we sang the song. For the first time in my life when I heard those words, “I am who you say I am” I finally believed them. I am the precious and treasured daughter of the most high God. This was written in a card from a friend. I told her I’d never been called precious or treasured.
