Through All Of It Lyrics

There are days of taking more than I can give
And there are choices that I made that I wouldn’t make again
I’ve had my share of laughter
Of tears and troubled times
This has been the story of my life

I have won
And I have lost
I got it right sometimes, but sometimes I did not
Life’s been a journey
I’ve seen joy, I’ve seen regret
Oh, and You have been my God through all of it

You were there when it all came down on me
When I was blinded by my fear and I struggled to believe
But in those unclear moments You were the one keeping me strong
This is how my story’s always gone

I have won
And I have lost
I got it right sometimes, but sometimes I did not
Life’s been a journey
I’ve seen joy, I’ve seen regret
Oh, and You have been my God through all of it
Oh, through all of it

And this is who You are, more constant than the stars
Up in the sky, all these years, all my life
I, I look back and I see You
Right now I still do
And I’m always going to

I have won
And I have lost
I got it right sometimes, but sometimes I did not
Life’s been a journey
I’ve seen joy, I’ve seen regret
Oh, and You have been my God through all of it
Oh, and You have been my God through all of it
Oh, and You have been my God through all of it

One story about "Through All Of It"

  • Joan Haugen says:

I’m so thankful this song and the message it expresses.

I have been a believer most all of my life. As God has taken me through adolescence, 26 years of marriage, 20 years of parenting and countless joys, trials, successes and failures…I have grown in my knowledge of Him, my love for Him, and my dependence on Him.

My family has experienced some big issues and challenges in recent months. I have seen God’s hand through all of itl. For most of this week I’ve been crazily attending to the physical tasks before me…and not truly seeking God by spending time with him each morning as I am accustomed.

In my flawed and week existence, this morning, in particular, I was struggling with how I should use my time today, feeling especially overwhelmed by the seemingly bazillion tasks on my to-do list. As I was doing dishes, in an attempt to get something simple done, I was led to turn on KTIS. That’s when Colton Dixon’s song came on.

    I broke down in tears.

Thank you, KTIS, for being present in our community.

And I thank God for his deep and perfect love that always meets me so beautifully where I am…and with exactly what I need. May God be praised and may His Name be glorified through it all!
