Glorious Day Video
Glorious Day Lyrics

I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight?
It was my tomb
‘Til I met You

I was breathing but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb
‘Til I met You

You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
Now Your mercy has saved my soul Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new
Jesus, when I met You

I needed rescue, my sin was heavy
But chains break at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter, I was an orphan
Now You call me a citizen of Heaven

When I was broken, You were my healing
Now Your love is the air that I’m breathing
I have a future, my eyes are open
‘Cause when You called my name
I ran out of that grave

One story about "Glorious Day"

  • Nigel Poole says:

I came across this song by chance when I was searching YouTube for music from Eaglebrook Church. I was telling a work colleague how the whole Eaglebrook thing had captivated me, gave me a new lease of life and a new and refreshed desire to be more involved with God in my life. I was born in England, I never really went to church unless it was for a wedding or funeral, and then my wife and I(We were living in Blaine MN) were told about this place called Eaglebrook Church. We were intrigued, we went once and we have been going ever since. That was in 2008, and every day I wake up and it really is a Glorious Day. The video version, live in Atlanta, is probably the most spine tingling, hairs standing up on the back of the neck, shake all over with excitement, song I have ever heard. Its a great way for ME to start my day.
