I would like to give a big shoutout to Pastor Melony! Melony is a remarkable women who has shown not only myself, but everyone who walks in her path an abundance of love and support. She walks in great faith, and allows others to be valuable and feel heard without judgement. I walked in her life in the mist of a dark storm, and I can’t express how much she alone has impacted me in this journey. It’s easy to get lost in the dark, but to have someone who brings you back to God, and reminds you to always live in JOY has been indescribable. We all need a Mel in our lives! Thank you Melony for showing your love, kindness, and support. You are truly a blessing, and someone God definitely has his hands on.

I met Pastor Jason when I was a visitor and then became a church member. I was moved by his welcoming spirit, inclusiveness message and work within the community. Not only does he help the congregation understand local community issues and the world’s conflicts but also how we can participate in serving others in need including projects that support disadvantaged people and their children. Each Sunday he welcomes each person by moving through the seating with a good morning and sometimes special quiet words to those who are suffering. Pastor Jason is joined with two other pastors integral in the service of Westwood Lutheran Church, Pastor Tania and Pastor Sarah. With his humor, kindness and caring for his congregation Pastor Jason has demonstrated his abilities to bring wonderful and successful leadership for their congregation.

Thank you for everything you do for the church and our family! Especially in the last few months with the hospital visits and being there when our loving dad and husband passed. You offered encouragement when we were down and You were there for us, until the very end. No words are enough to thank you for your compassion and empathy. You have always been so willing in giving your services to others. So Thank you for sharing the love of God. We are blessed to have you as our pastor! ❤️

My pastor is a anointed man of God who loves people and is very self sacrificing. He has been my pastor for years, but what spoke to me so much about his character happened many years ago. My mother was sick with cancer and bed bound. He and his wife brought special church services to her every week in the home where she was so that she didn’t have to miss church and we could pray for her. Those days made a difference in her life and will not be forgotten.

Jesus once said, the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Our church has experienced this firsthand over the past year when our pastor accepted a call to a new church. We have since been going through the calling process for a new pastor. I want to thank Pastor Roecker for standing in as our vacancy pastor during this time – he is currently shepherding not only his own church, but at least 3 other smaller congregations such as ours during the transition. I love his down to earth messages around God’s Word, that he teaches us His Word in its truth and purity; his friendly smile, and his willingness to be there as a pastor and friend. Thank you, Pastor Roecker, and God bless you!
