Derek Mumm

Pastor Derek, For the first time in my 77 years I have a Pastor as a friend! Ok, I’m almost 50 years older than you and that makes it even better. You obviously make me laugh, and you bring tears to my eyes. You’re fun to be out with at breakfast, or some golf. You bring the Gospel to me and The Bridge Church in a way I’ve never heard it. I’m amazed at what you did as a Youth Pastor, and I am even more amazed at what you’ve accomplished since becoming the lead Pastor. I’m excited to go to church and see what you have to offer every Sunday. I get my “battery” charged for the upcoming week. You speak of love, forgiveness, and mercy…….not guilt and shame. God has great plans for you and our church. I love it! Thanks again, my friend. God’s continued blessings to you, your lovely wife, and those two fantastic children. Can’t wait to be back in church. I love “The Bridge Church” and you!

Josh Trifunov

My Youth Pastor has just been such a big influence on me and a HUGE influence on our Youth group as well. He’s brought in so many kids that our small youth room is almost full. He is so funny and really just wants to connect with all of us. He doesn’t care for the cliques, he always wants people to step out of their comfort zone. He calls students to be a better version of themselves and I think it’s really cool what he has been doing because there was this one kid that when you observed the way he lived, you could just tell he was tired in his faith and it was weak. He was influenced by his friends, his school, and the world, and one Wednesday night at Youth he walked in brighter. I mean I could see it! Something about him changed. He stood taller, he was more into worship than I had ever seen. It was a sort of transformation you could tell was there even if he hadn’t told you or if you had never known him. Now he is outgoing passionate and tender-hearted to these little kids and middle schoolers. It is truly amazing to see all that God has been doing for these kids, through Pastor Josh. He is making heaven full for sure. 🙂

Steve Anderson

Steve, your compassionate heart and almost irresponsible love for our little church does not go unnoticed. You are a humble servant who has been given the responsibility to lead Lakeside, but leading is not the only thing you do. Romans 12 comes to my mind as I observe you in action … “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us … ” but God has blessed you with more than just being a diligent leader. You are also a faithful servant, an encouraging teacher, and a cheerful giver. You are my pastor, my friend, and proud to call you my brother in Christ. My hope is that these words give you strength and encouragement, and help fill your soul with the energy that Lakeside requires you to have. WE LOVE YOU!!

Colin Rueter

Pastor Colin really loves the Lord and shares his knowledge freely with everyone he is crying gentle and caring just like Jesus. Right now we are being taught in Genesis from the Garden of Eden to this Sunday Abraham and Sarah’s Covenant Pastor Colin speaks in words that you can plainly understand and take great notes. He and his family are a great inspiration to me and the rest of the church he loves the Lord and sticks right to the text of the Holy Bible. He’s a great Shepherd to his flock and lives it out in his everyday life . He opens up his home to all the parishioners to come and meet him in the family. He really shows his love and the love of God. Pastor Colin is very humble and a great leader leader of New Life Church in Wanamingo. I have grown so much since I started going to New Life this last past year. The church really shows it’s love towards new people and makes them feel right at home.

Rev. Medhat Yoakiem

My pastor, Pastor Yoakiem, is one of the kindest and most compassionate people I know. He pastors a small multi-ethnic and multi-cultural church with a great deal of understanding, patience and faithfulness. Her sermons never fail to inspire, teach, and make us grow. He’s also a hospice chaplain, sitting with families during a difficult time in their lives. He was raised Coptic Orthodox in Egypt and converted as a young man because the Protestant community encouraged his questions, curiosity, and desire to grow in his faith. He’s spent the past 15 years speaking, dreaming, teaching and caring for people from various cultures. He has a big heart for immigrants and for all Christians who are minorities in their community. I always get faithful, compassionate, and God-centered, people-loving advice from him. When I left the Orthodox church for Protestant Christianity he was very supportive, having made the that journey himself, and helped me see the blessings and humor in my journey while also acknowledging my pain. He works constantly and would just give away any entertainment tickets, but he drives a lot in his work and gas cards would be a blessing. His kids also love Culvers!
