Sam's Christmas Village and Light Tour

Sam’s Christmas Village and Light Tour offers the ultimate Christmas experience. Located right in Somerset, WI, on the scenic Apple River, Sam’s Christmas Village is sure to light up western Wisconsin and the Twin City metro area. It’s woodsy, it’s magical, and it’s fun for all ages. This brand-new holiday event will feature over 3 MILLION Christmas lights, a giant light tunnel, 40+ animated light displays, over 600 trees strung with lights, 21 s’more cabins available for daily rental, and a European style Christmas market featuring local food and merchandise vendors. This event runs from November 29-January 5. Located only 8 miles from the St. Croix River Crossing, Sam’s Christmas Village is going to be on everyone’s must-see list this holiday season. Sam’s Christmas Village and Light Tour is accessible for all. The 1⁄2 mile walk through light tour is available Wednesday-Sunday. Drive through only nights are available every Monday and Tuesday night. This allows individuals who choose not to walk through the light tour to stay in the comfort of their own car and still experience the full light tour opportunity. Live Nativity

Join us for our annual gift to the community as we celebrate Christ’s birth! Knollwood Christian Church will sponsor this year’s Live Nativity presentation. The portrayal will include 6 stations with actors from the church portraying the birth of Jesus Christ. The portrayal will include several live animals, including a camel, sheep, donkey and a cow!! Please come inside and enjoy delicious treats and hot apple cider available in the lower level of the church as well as several other fun activities for the whole family Please call the church office with questions: 952-938-1121 or check out our website for past pictures and details at knollwoodcc.org. The event is absolutely free, but we are asking people to please bring food for the local food shelf (STEP) to help out those in great need at this time of year. Also, any monetary donations given will also be given to STEP. To best experience this event in proper historical sequence, start at the east end of the service road and travel west.

The Star of Bethlehem Movie Night

The movie, “The Star of Bethlehem” is a a 2007 documentary by Frederick A. “Rick” Larson that shows evidence that Jesus Christ’s birth and the Christian faith is verifiable, grounded in history, as well as astronomically, scientifically, and evidently true. “ Larson’s understanding and use of orbital mechanics is accurate. This explanation of the Star of Bethlehem is compelling to me. It is consistent with the Biblical story. It pleases me that I can accept it as an engineer, and as an astronomy enthusiast.” --Frank Buzzard, Former Chief Engineer of Space Shuttle and International Space Station with NASA Discussion time follows. This is a free event, but we ask that you please register in advance by emailing: office@pcotw.org or going to our website: pcotw.org/Outreach Children from ages 0-10 are welcome to participate. We will have food, games, music, crafts and a holiday-themed movie to keep them occupied while you are away.
