We invite the public to join us for PAUSE: Prayer Around the U.S. Elections. The two candlelit events will take place on Wednesday evenings, October 30 (pre-election) and November 13 (post-election), from 6:30 to 7:15 pm. PAUSE is designed to welcome people from all spiritual traditions and political backgrounds, offering a peaceful space to step back from the noise, sing, listen, and draw strength from being in community with others during this significant time.
PAUSE is preceded by a free community meal from 5:00 to 6:30 pm; donations are welcome but not required.

Westwood Lutheran Church warmly invites the community to PAUSE, Prayer Around the United States’ Elections. Intentionally scheduled for before and after the elections, the two events will occur on Wednesday evenings, October 30 and November 13, from 6:30-7:15 pm.
PAUSE is a time for people to gather and reflect in a spiritual community about the decisions in their civic lives.
The candlelit prayer services are open to people of all spiritual traditions and political affiliations. Westwood provides a place to step back from the noise of the world, breathe, sing, listen, come together in corporate prayer, and draw on the strength of community.
Attendees are welcome to come as they are – no dress code is required. All ages are welcome.
PAUSE is preceded by a free community meal from 5:00-6:30 pm. Donations are welcome but not required.
Local community partners, including but not limited to schools, police, and city government representatives, have been invited to join in this local community-building event.
