James Leonard – Liberty Church
Pastor James is the pastor of a church plant. He is the true definition of having a servant's heart (he and his family). He sets up and tears down every Sunday and always has a good word. But Pastor James goes above and beyond the walls of the church. When people in our congregation (or out) reach out with a problem; He, and his wife Emily, jump into action. My husband and I lost our son last year, before losing him he was in the hospital for almost 2 months. They would come at the drop of a hat to be with us. After he passed they were there for us with meals, cleaning our home, doing yard work, you name it. And I am not the only one who has received this level of pastoral care. Other people in our church, whether it be fighting cancer, house fires, etc they are there helping in any capacity they can. Our pastor cares for our city so much that he has now become a volunteer chaplain to the fire and police department, and is always finding ways to help our community. He definitely deserves appreciation for how he and his family go above and beyond; and show the hands and feet of Jesus.
