Come see our award-winning theatre program in their production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the first two weekends of November.
New Life Academy Theatre in Woodbury, MN presents The Hunchback of Notre Dame, a story that asks its audience to consider, “What makes a monster and what makes a man?” Set in 1482 Paris, Hunchback tells the story of the historic cathedral and its most famous occupant, Quasimodo. Outcast and mocked by society, Quasimodo finds a kindred spirit in Esmerelda, a woman who knows all too well what it is to be treated with contempt.
Our full cast of characters narrate the story as we look on at their world from the outside, just as Quasimodo does, and come to share the hope that, “Someday life will be fairer, need will be rarer, and greed will not pay.” Due to mature themes, this play is recommended for ages 8 and up.
