November 8 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
For the first time, Singer/Songwriter Mitch McVicker, is coming to the Music Factory for the first time to do a special Rich Mullins Tribute Concert!
McVicker’s vocational musical journey began by working with the late, great Rich Mullins. Mitch was Rich’s roommate and the two wrote songs and traveled and performed together.
Shortly after a car wreck killed Mullins and badly injured Mitch McVicker, a song the two penned together, “My Deliverer,” was given the GMA Dove Award for song of the year…all while Mitch was going through a lengthy and difficult process of recovering from a coma-causing brain injury, collapsed lungs, broken bones, and nerve damage.
After his recovery, Mitch continued his musical career, influenced by Rich Mullins in music and thought yet with his own distinct voice and style. McVicker’s solo career has spanned nearly 2,500 concerts in 49 states and 13 countries. Along with recording 13 full-length albums, he has made 2 EPs, released 9 official music videos and 2 live concert DVDs.
Mitch typically performs his own songs during his concerts, but for this special tribute event, he’s agreed to do half of the concert featuring Rich Mullins’ songs and the other half will be his own music. It’s going to be a special night!
Tickets are $35.00 in advance and $40.00 at the door. Seating is general admission and doors open at 6:30 PM. Concessions will be available for sale during the concert.
The Music Factory is located on the 2nd floor of the WWI era Old Milk Factory on the Rum River in Anoka. It is not a wheelchair accessible building and there are some stairs to climb.
