Tim Marshall – Woodbury Lutheran Church

I really want to recognize our care pastor at WLC.  He tends to be more unnoticed unless people need something. I could tell a really long list of things about Pastor Tim that I appreciate. Pastor Tim is one of the most calm, supportive, helpful, caring, loving compassionate individuals I’ve ever known. He is so genuine and cares so deeply for his people from the adults to the youth. He can make people smile even in the hard moments. I see Jesus in him and how Jesus shines through him is amazing to witness. It’s a privilege and absolute gift to have a pastor like him as our church’s care pastor.

Samuel and Victoria Toure – God’s Kingdom Ministry

They go above and beyond being pastors. I appreciate them for being there for the less privileged and helping many youth to build their credits and helping them by renting apartments for them. Whenever someone is at the hospital or gives birth they always show up for them by not just praying for them but helping them financially as well. They work tirelessly and still answer calls at 2 am or whatever time. They have truly laid their lives down for the gospel and others. They still work regular jobs but run ministry full time. There is so much more they do.

David Capistrant – Living Hope

Pastor David came into our very broken church 5 years ago. We had gone through several pastors and lost many members. He was young but had a very mature faith and immediately began to give us hope again. He shows he cares about us and our whole community.  We had around 350 members and one of the first things he did was to go to our homes for about 15 minutes to get to know each one of us.  Two summers ago, a propane tank exploded and he was hospitalized with burns to his legs, feet and face.  When one of our Elders asked how to be praying, he said, “Pray for my Congregation.” He is so selfless! He is very intentional in making sure everyone feels loved and supported and has implemented several plans in making sure that happens. You will find him greeting all before church, talking with the kids before KidzLife on Wednesdays, attending Bible Study with the men, helping with serving our community and so much more. His motto is to be “Live Sent” going out into the community to reach as many as  possible to bring them to Christ. Our church has thrived since Pastor David came, in size and in our love for Jesus and each other. We are full of life again and I believe God has given us a great gift–Pastor David Capistrant!
