Two irritated co-workers sitting next to each other

How can we be less offended (and offendable)?

In a world where everyone is trying to cancel each other, everything seems to be offensive and everyone is offended. (even reading this may have offended you!)

Brant Hansen, author of Unoffendable, has written a book on how to overcome being offended about everything.

Brant believes that the Bible does not support the notion of “righteous anger” for humans. People often quote Ephesians 4:26, “In your anger, do not sin,” but forget to include the rest of the verse which states to “get rid of your anger before the sun goes down.” This is a reminder that we should not dwell on our anger, but instead try to find a way to move on.

So how do we, as men, harness the protective spirit that God has given us without getting angry? We can stand up against injustice and protect the vulnerable, but we can do it without anger. We can be passionate and driven without letting our emotions get the best of us. We can be assertive and defend our beliefs without resorting to anger. We can be strong and still be respectful.
