“I just knew that I had to do something, no matter how small, to help out!” – Robin

This past summer, Philadelphia experienced a severe lifeguard shortage, leaving kids bored and prone to getting into trouble.

70-year-old Robin saw the need in her community. She had been a lifeguard at age 16, and remembered the fun of summer swimming; so she became a lifeguard! Donning her red swimsuit and lifeguard’s whistle she claimed a guard chair and watched over the pool throughout the summer.

Because of her gift, the kids in Robin’s community have a summer full of pool memories.
