People buy gift cards all the time. However, when Barry went through a Dunkin Donuts drive-thru and asked for a $208 gift card, the employee had to ask about the significance of the amount.

Barry explained that his wife used to come through the drive-thru each morning for her cup of coffee. Sadly, he also explained that she passed away six months ago.

Barry calculated that over the past six months his wife would have spent $208. The employee prepared the gift card.

Then, Barry told her to use it for all the cars that would come through the drive-thru, until it was used up. Barry and his son parked and watched the joy in each person’s face as they learned their order was paid for and the sweet story behind it.

What a great way for Barry’s wife’s legacy to live on!
