It’s not officially summer in the Twin Cities until you are at a Twins or Saints game with a hot dog in your hand and you hear the crack of the bat and the cheer of the crowd!

If your kids want a chance to play someday for the Twins, maybe it starts here — The Minnesota Twins are teaming up with the City of St. Paul to provide opportunities for kids to learn to play ball for free!

From the City of St. Paul website:

For the summer 2022 season, Saint Paul Parks & Recreation will be partnering with the Minnesota Twins to waive certain summer sport fees.
Fees will be waived for youth RBI baseball and softball for ages 9-18, and machine pitch for ages 7-8. T-ball participants will receive a free glove. The Minnesota Twins are committed to grow an interest and participation in Minnesota’s youth leagues and create opportunities for youth to learn the sport in a fun and safe environment.

How to register
In-house sports registrations for age groups 8U and younger will be registered by service area. A list of the recreation centers in each service area is listed below.
Municipal sports for age groups 10U and older are still registered by individual recreation center.
Participants may register for any service area or recreation center activity regardless of home address.
