This message comes from our caller Kim. Her grandson, whose name is Henry, recently celebrated his fifth birthday by going sledding with family. Henry was born with half of a heart and has undergone several surgeries since then. Through prayers and support from family, he is now happy and healthy today. Despite the challenges Henry has faced, they have not stopped him from living his life to the fullest and being a light to everyone around him. Kim explained that Henry offers so much love to other people by having a thoughtful and caring personality. He enjoys giving gifts and is always thinking of others. Today, it only makes sense to say that Henry has earned more than a full heart because of how much love he pours into those around him.
Proverbs 17:22 (ESV) “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
We can all take inspiration from Henry. Maintaining a joyful nature is so important if we want to have the strength to overcome challenges we face, whether our struggles are related to health, finances, or anything weighing us down. By looking to Christ for our inspiration, we can rejoice in the hope we have through faith, family, and all of the blessings that have been given to us through him. When we care for those around us, we can encourage out brothers and sisters in Christ and inspire each other to make it through life’s hardest moments.Henry's heart
