1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss, and October is the month where we come together as a church community, help the needs of the hurting, and “mourn with those who mourn.”
Lisa from Iammotheroftheyear.com is sharing stories of moms who have experienced loss all month long – and what we can learn from them as well.
Lisa shares Violet’s story on her blog – along with some great advice:
There is someone in your life at this very minute who cannot imagine a better day tomorrow. Who cannot imagine the sun. Who cannot even fathom the fact that the God of the Universe would love her so much. Who cannot even picture a future not consumed by pain, regret, and despair. Who cannot hold hope for herself.
BE A HOPE-HOLDER.
Step into that messy pain and hold space for her hope. Pray the prayers that she can’t. Cry the tears that she won’t. Proclaim the hope that you know to be true. Show up for your friend. She needs you and needs you now.
Whether it’s miscarriage, postpartum depression, addiction, overwhelm. You can be a hope-holder for someone who’s just sunk.
