You may not have written your thoughts down in a notebook since you were in elementary school. No joke – I won a pink diary with a lock on it from a church event, and I don’t know if that scarred me for life, but I haven’t written about my life since!
There are some great reasons to pick it back up. Just simple journaling helps to learn new lessons from old experiences, gives you proof that you are making progress in your goals, and motivates you to make the most of each day (so you have something unique to write down)!
But you don’t have to write a novel, or even a paragraph – simply write one sentence every day.
If you need a little more structure, you could answer one of these questions:
- What happened today?
- What am I grateful for today?
- What is my most important task today?
- How did I sleep last night?
- How do I feel today?
There’s a lot of power when you take things from your mind and put them on paper, and this simple step starts to unlock that!
