I’ve been on the “eat healthier” thing for years.  It’s never really stuck.  I just have such an issue with not feeling full after a “normal” meal so I feel like I need to eat more!

I think my problem stems from wanting to get eating “out of the way,” so I try to have my meal as quickly as possible so I can move on to something else.

So, the simple tip to change that is to slow down!  It seems silly, but it takes 20 minutes for food that you have swallowed to make its way to your stomach, and for your body to start telling you it is full.    I can’t tell you the last time I took that long to eat a meal!

So two things that can help is to chew each bite more, and put the silverware down between each bite.

I also think this is a great excuse to have more conversations with my family at the dinner table!
