There are so many emotions that attach our hearts with parenthood.  Our kids are birthed through a canal of pain but still bring such joy and happiness to our lives.  We are enriched because of the love that they bring us.  For those of you still waiting for the miracle of birth, it’s worth the perseverance in waiting for God’s best.  It truly is one of the most rewarding life experiences to experience God in every day managing of another life.

There are many joys, heartaches, and emotional situations that find us grateful that we have a God who cares about our nurturing roles He puts us in regards to our own specific families.  Through the blessings in our lives there is honor, respect and a loving culture He builds in our lives.  He builds a culture of trust based on His trustworthy dependability and faithfulness.

We live a blessed life as we share in God’s goodness in our surroundings and the people that fill it.  We must focus on the positives instead of the negatives.  By doing so it bridges the gaps between our own needs and rolls out the red carpet blessings to reveal God’s sovereignty.  Blessings escort God’s prosperity into our lives and as God’s royal daughters, parents, grandparents, etc. we too receive a rich heritage which leaves a love legacy for future generations.

So how can we pray prosperity upon our children so that they too will be blessed?  We let the Lord open our eyes to see the good in all situations, whether it be cancer, death, or long term illness.  We train ourselves to notice God in our families, as He grows us, and teaches us, and delivers us.  Could it be that unemployment or suicide has plagued your family tree?  Maybe this blessing has hit you in a dry place of barrenness.   There are countless scenarios where it looks like we have been dealt a raw deal of a prosperous life.

We must look for God’s manna provisions in ALL the days of our lives to see His blessings that fall from the heavenly realms.  We must remember that God graciously gives us mercy and gives eternal life and not the death we deserve with eternal separation from God.   We must grasp the freedom that comes from forgiveness for others and for ourselves.  We must live in the grace that goes before us and grasp a hold of the godly things he provides in our journey.  He collects the tears of our pains endured in this live and promises to redeem and restore.  We must cling to His hope that he gets us through each and every storm that blows through.  When God prospers us or grows our faith in storms, it’s sustainable prosperity.

His Presence in our lives is the true blessing that is enough to take us to His prosperous dream for us.  There’s a worship song that states that “His presence is everything.”  Those words have settled like a bar of gold in my heart and spirit to know that we aren’t alone in this life, and that we have the promise of His presence that gets through each and every pitfall that befalls our lives.  Every one of them.  As parents, His presence is a great blessing and helps us in living prosperous.  Following Jesus is a challenge where I daily take up my cross and follow Jesus – no turning back.

Dear Lord, we confess that there many days we feel defeated, overwhelmed and underwhelmed with our circumstances and fail to see your blessings in our lives.  Help us to manage our emotions to be shaped by your self-control, your grace and bordered by your mercy for us.  We ask your favor upon our lives and the lives of our children.  We walk in your favor as believers but we often miss the blessing of your presence that is right beside us.  When we fall remind us that your mercy catches us, and our hope is in Christ alone.  Your hope keeps chasing us, your grace keeps changing us and forever you will reign in our lives.  Lead us to prosperity to grow in our faith.  Lead us by your awesome hand, and lift us up in due time to experience You.  We are excited to be a part of this exciting journey called motherhood.  Thank you for allowing us to serve your love in our lives to all those you bring into our lives.  We love you the most for always being the God who loves perfectly.  Amen.
