Brookdale Covenant Church Craft Fair & Silent Auction

9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Brookdale Covenant Church will be holding a two-day craft fair and silent auction March 24-25. The proceeds will be used to send the church's inner-city youth (grades 9-12) to the CHIC youth conference in Tennessee this summer. Specific times are: 9am - 2pm Sat, March 24th; and 11:45am to 2pm Sun, March 25th. Please contact the church if you are interested in participating in the craft fair.

Catholic journalist Marta Zaknoun discusses the challenges Christians face today in the Middle East

North St. Paul MN—(March 6, 2018) Marta Zaknoun, a Christian Arab journalist who was born and educated in Jerusalem will give a presentation on Christians in the Middle East: A people, a face, a newness in everyday rubble on Saturday, March 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Church of St. Peter at 2600 N. Margaret St. North St. Paul, MN Zaknoun tells the story of Iraqi and Syrian Christian and refugees through glimpses of their lives in different locations in refugee camps in Amman, Jordon. Learn about their stories and their witness of faith and how these lives and witnesses speak to us, move us and interrogate us through her writings and video productions. Get to know the people who “live now where the Christian faith was born”, to encounter their faith in Christ, and to understand the relevance of their experience to our own lives. Zaknoun is the editor of the Catholic magazine Traces Canada and she also writes articles about politics and Christians in the Middle East. Zaknoun will answer questions following the presentation. 17th Annual Holy Week Art Show: "Blessed to Be a Blessing"

As Christians, we have been made new in purpose: to love God and one another, and to lead others to Christ. And by the power of the Holy Spirit we offer our gifts of time and talents, graciously given by God, to give Him glory and to do His work. Join us as we acknowledge God as the giver of all gifts and reflect on the ways our giftedness has impacted our lives and others by entering Calvary’s 17th annual Art Show themed “Blessed to Be a Blessing.” Works on display will include photography, painting, drawing, sculpture and calligraphy using such media as oil, acrylic, watercolor, ceramic, metal, glass, textiles and wood. One Voice is a dramatic Easter musical. Make your plans now to attend this year’s performances of “One Voice” at Light The Way Church in Cottage Grove. This dramatic presentation allows you to witness the life, death and resurrection of Jesus through the eyes of two secret followers; Pharisees, Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea. You will witness how God can use each of us as a voice brining Hope and Peace to the world through Christ our Savior, and experience the power of the Resurrection of Christ. Admission is free, and a free-will offering will be received at each performance, with a portion going to support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
