I sat at the kitchen table and looked at my list of New Year’s resolutions. There were two conflicting emotions going on. One was delight as I imagined how I’d look having lost 10 pounds, but the other side of my brain was reminding me that I’ve made that resolution before without much success. Then it hit me! Why do resolutions always have to be about stuff that’s already hard for me? Why couldn’t my resolutions be about something new? An adventure? A quest? A class? A new skill? When I did a little more digging on the subject, I found out there’s even more benefit to learning a new skill
than what I even thought!
